On 21 February, the second Galileo 4 Mobility Advisory Group (AG) meeting took place in Paris. Hosted by partner Clem’, the day provided the opportunity for the G4M consortium to gather valuable feedback from the AG members on key issues related to the project, and discuss the latest developments of the pilot sites. Workshop in business intelligence metrics with pilot leaders

Within the framework of the Galileo 4 Mobility project, two workshops were held late December, one with AMB (Àrea metropolitana de Barcelona) and one with RACC (Reial Automòbil Club de Catalunya). The workshops aimed to define metrics which help improve the provision of mobility services and assess the performance of the pilots that both organisations will be carrying out in 2019. AMB will be testing the implementation of an on-demand bus service replacing a regular bus service, and RACC will be testing the benefits of completing a multimodal trip on its MaaS platform using a Galileo-enabled smartphone. Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona & authorities discuss possible new autonomous mobility pilot

On January 25, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) and Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT) had a first meeting to discuss the details of a potential new mobility service with autonomous vehicles on the university campus. During the meeting, issues such as the itinerary, frequency, users and technical specifications of the vehicle itself, were discussed. Taxi-sharing pilot in Thessaloniki attracts eye of the public

Galileo 4 Mobility is happy to announce that the taxi-sharing pilot in the Greek city of Thessaloniki is progressing well in terms of user engagement, mainly due to the involvement of the municipalities of Kalamaria and Thermi. The pilot, which aims to reduce traffic congestion in the city centre, is currently seeking participants and is planned to kick off in April. The Thessaloniki pilot has already been communicated through the social channels of the local authorities, such as their websites and their social media accounts. From 25 to 28 February, GALILEO FOR MOBILITY was showcased at the Galileo Booth hosted by the European GNSS Agency (GSA) (Hall 8.0, Stand 8.0H15) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. The GSA Galileo stand showcased several Horizon 2020 funded, Galileo-powered innovations, including the GALILEO FOR MOBILITY project.
